As always, hunters are in demand above and beyond all else. However, this time around the highest in class hunter in the game gives us a hard time. The main reason for this in our opinion, is down to the downright tricky nature of his unique set of abilities.
First off we have Borrowed Time. This is a permanently on ability, and it allows Hauheset to store up time to be used to power his abilities. This has two uses, firstly to extend Hauheset’s life even after death – allowing more damage to be done even in death. The second use of stored time is to use it with Time Shift.
Time Shift is bloody hard to use, but used properly will no doubt be a game changer. Casting this spell the first time puts Hauheset into a different state, where he cannot be targeted by towers for damage. It lasts as long as your stored time, but is cancelled as soon as you come in range of a Blue Mage tower or also importantly, as soon as you perform a regular attack. You are free to use abilities as desired in this state without it cancelling the Time Shift effect.
If you use Time Shift, you need to active it a second time. This will rewind your dragon to the time of first use and allow you to continue from that point on. Time Shift is an incredibly powerful ability for sure, but it is very easy to screw up!
Then we have Crumble to Dust. For a cost of 2 rage, this can target up to 5 towers and cause a damage debuff. The more important use of Crumble to Dust is when you cast it a second time. This destroys all towers under the debuff, making it an excellent island clearer. The downside is the high rage cost, and the fact that it does tend to be hard to target all five towers.
Finally, Hauheset has the undeniably brilliant Desiccating Sandstorm. For a cost of 1 rage, this colourless spell can lockdown a tower and deal a substantial amount of damage to its target.
